Blood spurting, soaking through, or won't stop?
What to do:
- Press hard on the wound with clean cloth or your hand
- Keep pressing — don't lift to check
- If blood soaks through, add more on top
- Raise the injury above the heart
- Call 999 (or get someone else to)
- Keep them warm and calm
⚠️ Object stuck in wound?
Do NOT remove it — press around it
Signs of serious blood loss:
Pale, cold, clammy, fast weak pulse, confusion, faintness
→ Lie them down, legs raised, keep warm
