The FAST test:

Face
Has it dropped on one side?
A
Arms
Can they raise both?
S
Speech
Is it slurred or strange?
T
Time
Call 999 immediately
Also watch for:
Sudden severe headache, vision changes, confusion, dizziness, numbness on one side
What to do:
- Call 999 — note when symptoms started
- Keep them comfortable, head slightly raised
- Do NOT give aspirin (stroke may be bleeding)
- Do NOT give food or drink
